Are the sessions Dance Specific or is it just general strength training?

The Dance Strong Program combines holistic strength training with dance specific correctives. The strength program is targeted towards building global components that are fundamental to dance whilst the corrective program is specific and individualised to each dancers needs/goals. Majority of the sessions will be run by Exercise Physiologist Georgia. However, at times your sessions may be led by our Physiotherapist Jess or another one of our qualified Exercise Physiologists.

Do I need a re-assessment if I have attended Dance Strong sessions in 2022? Do I require a re-assessment during the Dance Strong year?

Yes, you would require a re-assessment if you attended Dance Strong in 2022. You will receive a comparison of results from your assessments in 2022. It is recommended that you do a reassessment 1-2 times during the year

Who organises the small group members?

If you are interested in small group afternoon sessions, you will be required to form your own group and agree on a session & time. Please inform your practitioner at your assessment if you intend on attending a small group and the members that will be a part of it.

What happens if I can’t make one of the sessions?

You will not be charged for the session if you do not attend. Your account will be in credit which can be used for the following term of Dance Strong. This does not apply for attending 2 sessions per week. If you only attend one session in the week, you will be charged the normal

Can I use my health fund? How much will it cover?

Depending on your type of coverage, yes, you can use your private health fund for initial assessments &/or group sessions. It is recommended that you contact your health fund to understand your level of coverage and compensation you may receive per paid session. Here is a list of some HFs and what they may cover.
