Move Better, Feel Stronger, Recover with Confidence
Our Clinical Exercise classes take a Pilates-based approach to help you recover, build strength, and feel better in your body. Run by senior physiotherapist Sarah at our Woonona clinic, each session brings together genuine clinical expertise with movement that actually suits you.
What Can Clinical Exercise Help With?
Clinical exercise can help with a wide range of conditions, including:
- Low back pain
- Chronic pain
- Post-surgical recovery
- Injury rehabilitation
- Pre and postnatal strengthening and birth recovery
- Menopause and low bone density
Tailored to You
o two bodies are the same, and no two programs should be either. Every exercise is prescribed off the back of your individual assessment, so your program reflects your goals, your history, and where you’re at right now. This makes it particularly well suited to people managing injuries, chronic conditions, or specific considerations like pregnancy or menopause.
Safe and Well Supported
Because Sarah knows your medical history, she can keep a close eye on how you’re progressing and adjust things as needed. Exercises are modified to protect you from further injury, and the pace of your program is guided by how your body responds, not a generic timeline. If you’re returning to exercise after surgery or a significant injury, this kind of oversight makes a real difference.
Grounded in Evidence
These sessions draw on physiotherapy research and rehabilitation science, not just general fitness principles. The focus is on functional strength, posture, and mobility, using a range of equipment including reformers and traditional strength and conditioning gear. The goal is lasting improvement in how you move and feel, rather than a short-term fix.
How Classes Work
Sessions are either one-on-one or semi-private with two clients to one physiotherapist, so you’re never lost in a crowd. Each session runs for 45 minutes, and your program is built around your individual assessment regardless of the format you choose. What you’re doing in the room is always specific to you.
Common Questions
Do I need a referral? No referral is needed to get started. Simply book an initial assessment and Sarah will take it from there.
How is this different from a regular Pilates class? Clinical Exercise is led by a physiotherapist who understands your medical history and can modify every exercise accordingly. It’s rehabilitation first, fitness second.
What should I wear? Comfortable, flexible clothing you can move easily in. Grip socks are recommended if you have them.
