What is Paediatric Physiotherapy
Kids Physio’s have expertise in assessing and treating children with a range of conditions affecting their physical development, movement, and ability to participate in everyday life.
Through fun, developmentally appropriate, family-centered, and play-bases techniques, paediatric physiotherapy can help optimise the movement functions of these children.
Physiotherapy intervention aims to improve children’s motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, gait difficulties, balance, coordination and fitness.
This can be done through exercises, gait retraining, neurodevelopment therapy, splinting, positioning, cardio-respiratory intervention and education. The physiotherapist can also be involved in prescription of specialised equipment including walking frames and orthotics.
BaiMed Kids physio’s work with children with disabilities within the NDIS framework.
